Smooth Agent is very proud to present Nebraska's Other Tracks EP. Alistair Gibbs needs no introduction. If you have not hear of him he has released his first LP on Down Low Records. However is has made a name for himself with his multiple releases on Rush Hour Records. His fushion of raw detroit house mixed with disco grooves has made him a household name. This EP will certainly be no exception.
His Green Marimba track was release earlier this fall on vinyl exclusively. This has been well received by Soulphiction, Deetron, DJ Koze, Chris Carrier & Efdemin. This is certainly a tune that fuses African grooves with a Detroit thump. Think of Theo Parrish messing with some african instruments & you are only halfway there. Nebraska continues the groove with a nice spacey track Hi Ya. In a similar vein Nebraska teams up with James Mason on 88-89 in a detroit vibe. The last track "Tell Me" he goes for a more acid bassline groove.
2010 has certainly been a big year for Nebraska and we a very happy to be a part it.
